Five Star Women of Color is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2021. We serve women and girls across Baltimore Metropolitan area, advancing economic mobility through structured programming, strategic partnerships, and community-centered initiatives.
Our Mission

At Five Star Women of Color, our mission is to provide women of color with the knowledge, education, and resources they need to grow into their fullest potential. Through structured programming, educational initiatives, and strategic community engagement, we support women on their journey to becoming sophisticated, cultured individuals who own property, prioritize their health, and achieve financial security. We provide pathways that support women at every stage of their personal and professional development.

We envision a world where women of color are positioned as economic drivers, community leaders, and industry innovators. By fostering personal growth, leadership, and community-building, we aim to cultivate better role models while breaking down negative stereotypes and stigmas associated with women of color. Attractive Appearance is a reflection of what is going on internally & externally. Valuing the importance of taking care of self and knowing how to show up in spaces. It's important to have self-care (skin care & hair care) but also to take care of the mental & emotional.
Education

Investment in education whether it's a degree from college or a certification. Understanding the importance of adding to your knowledge base.
Sophistication/Culture

​Exposure to different cultures and settings that develop a level of sophistication. Refinement and well versed on social and economic topics.
Financial Stability

The state of being financially secure and not living paycheck to paycheck. Has savings and money resources that give financial stability.
Our goal is "To Empower Women of Color from Within" by giving them the tools and confidence to navigate their professional and personal journeys successfully. We provide an uplifting platform that encourages personal growth, community-building, and leadership development.
